what are your recomendations for parts/tools/spares for wildeside down in tasy?

heheh i have a sneaking suspicion my drivetrain might need some work before i go given the chain has started to slip....

we're taking the reign, prophet and the old green machine as a spare.

man I can't believe we aren't going. Just got the refund cheque today - and they mention 2010. I am hoping for 2009 - look forward to your race report. 9 more sleeps till the cast comes off!@!

So I would take a spare of everything you can thats easily breakable and wears out like chains, rear hangers and brake pads/bleeding kits, and plenty of cleaning gear (specially chain cleaner) for nightly cleansing of the beasts.

The tools you take will be largely dictated by the spares you take. You may recall they asked for fairly detailed bike specs when you registered so I am picking they will have a reasonable range of spares for stuff we wouldn't normally carry.

Enjoy...

It will be 2010, they are running it every two years now.

well the old man got a place in a corporate team (bargained on the basis that the event went through one of the companies land that he was working for!) and i'm just tagging along. not sure if i'll get to race officially or not. i wasn't able to register in time as i thought i would be out at kapooka by now which has now been delayed to feb.

i'll keep that list in mind though. bikes are going in for a service some time next week and we'll stock up on bits and pieces then.

Make sure your gear cables are all good as there's nothing worse than putting up with gears that won't change well due to worn or dirty cables.
Have fun down there!
John.

Take a spare hanger with you.
