Quad

Funnily enough I was talking to a friend the other day about something like this...

Basically, an autonomous quadcopter that follows you around filming your every move. Needs work to be able to keep up with a cyclist, but how hard can that be? Eye-wink

Very useful for riders who would like to document the abuse they get, but more likely much more fun as something to fly behind filming you hit up your favourite trails. Can't wait to see this stuff on the mainstream market!

Let's make it green so when we lose it in the forest it will be easy to find...
Look out for the drones....

Perhaps you could even get it to fly out in front of you and clear the spider webs!

Awesome, looks like I can pack away the Kite. It was only slowing me down.

+1 For web clearer!

It should hurl a string of HTFU! abuse at you on the climbs, and fire a tiny laser at you when you're HR goes below a set threshold, say 170bpm.

How about adding a light for night rides to light the way and carrying a supply of water and gels
If I was lazy I would suggest a tow rope for when I hit the wall but that would just be lazy, unless it was a steep climb.

stuff like this should open up some possibilities for better TV coverage of mtb races. The Olympics were quite well done, but it was pretty much an open paddock. The Fling stuff from the chopper was novel and dramatic, but having a couple of these able to float along various sections of track would eventually make for good footage (after a sorting period). Probably better suited to loop track stuff where a few sections could be coped and sorted and filmed each lap.
