Happy ANZAC Day
Best wishes to all service personnel serving both in Australia and overseas.
Tried ANZAC biscuits on a long ride today (4.5 hours). i think they could be the answer for enduro races. I can never stomach energy bars when I am in a race.
Beautiful day for a ride. Thank you to the service personnel who made huge sacrifices and continue to, so we can enjoy our freedom.
Went to watch my youngster march today, with so many of our regular armed forces engaged overseas it falls to the cadets to carry banners for many of the units..
I teared up a couple of times when I saw banners for units that served in WWII, followed by a Land Rover containing the last living member who was able to march. Very soon they'll all be gone.
On the upside were a couple of laps of the CBD by a formation of three, comprising a PBY Catalina in authentic period black Aussie night mission camo, a DC3 and a Caribou.
Massive thanks to the Diggers past and present that helped to make this country what it is and give us the freedoms we all enjoy so much. Like today, I was able to enjoy a perfect ride with mates for my birthday.
Good work on your son getting to march today Hawkeye. The Cadets are a great initiative for teens for so many reasons. I can't wait for my little bloke to be old enough to take him to the dawn service and a few marches.
Professionally run by army officers who are great with kids, and well funded. My young bloke loves it.
Our diggers do a great job that is hugely underrated.
Yep, if my boy is keen, he'll be going there. I went there many moons ago and loved it as well. I presume it's still 201 RCU?
