I just posted the same ride at 17:45 (which I will delete). I should be ok for 17:30 but I will do a trial run today as going through Belrose is a different route home than normal.

Let us know, can always put it back 15mins

Can we change it to 17:45 as I will be cutting it too fine to make 17:30.

Are you planning on the same route as last Monday? The single track/rocky bits were pretty fun...

We might try the alternate options downhill from Belrose. Lots of technical DH / single track.
Cheers

Cool sounds good, see you there Smiling

Hi Olaf, as you are familiar with this track, if its not actually raining at the time of the ride, will it still be on. I am very keen to get out and it did seem like a well draining track for the most part but I wasn't quite sure. Cheers.

The main firetrails (between Belrose, St Ives and Davidson) will be ok with the rain so far. Wouldn't want to do the downhill singletrack or quarry track. Let's make a call around 5pm if we go ahead with the ride.

What do you think Rob ? You would probably do anything in any condition.

Cheers
Olaf

Cascades is OK after rain. The messy bit is when you get down to the creekline at Bare Creek Track. Quarry Track is fine up to the gate as it is all uphill.

If you stick mainly to the firetrail hills then you should be fine.

Well... normally I wouldn't mind but can't ride this arvo anyhow, sorry.

Last time we rode Cascades in the wet things were fine with the track, but beware of chain suck. If all that sand gets in your drive train it's pretty nasty, and bad chain suck makes climbing out a real pain Sad

I'm out, raining here. Catch you when it's a nicer day.

Its not rained for a bit up here in Belrose, might get away with it???

I am still keen.

Great ride yesterday. I thought I would be a bit sore this morning but all is good. I have posted the ride for next week and can't wait. And yes, the bike is clean again Eye-wink
