This bike is older than I am! It's far from light, quite rusty and creaks a bit when riding it, but I rode it 6km to and from Hornsby station many a time last year and never had an issue (it excelled in being a low theft temptation!) I got given a slightly newer model from it so naturally use it for that commuting purpose, but am thinking this bike could be used by the buyer for that purpose. Taken it off road a few times (I.e., the annual BMORC bash), and probably not the best weapon for the Convict 100 (Laughing out loud), but perfectly good for a parent riding with their child.

Cost is negotiable; I need to get the machine out of my house as my new bike comes in, and happy to give it away for free if that's all someone can do under the principle that it'll get used rather than sit around.

Not sure of the specs, or

It looks ripe for a 27.5" conversion Smiling

Vintage Rigid 650B SS anyone?

I registered specifically reply to this Smiling I think I bought the bike from you in 2013 for $20, spent a little money on it as it was a 1 year only bike (Ricardo Bushbike) made in Victoria before they sold out to Repco and started making cheap stuff. It has some cool things like the oval chain rings and rear brake under the frame so I couldn't bare to see it fall apart eventually. Anyway, finally getting it back together for my wife to ride after it became and ornament in the lounge for a while Eye-wink

Now it has 7 speed rear on ukai um-20 rims and some basic but solid shimano kit. The frame has been powder coated and the alloy stripped of paint and polished.
