GPS on Mobiles Becoming Common

We get GPS devices mentioned quiet a lot here so thought this worth a mention. There's just been some big mobile show in Barcelona where all the manufactures bring out their toys. GPS on a mobile looks like becoming the next big thing. Think how rare a camera or MP3 player was in a mobile three years back to see where this will go.

In particular the Nokia 6210 gizmo looks cool:

...It is the first GPS phone from Nokia that includes integrated compass for guiding users on foot.

...Other cool features on Nokia 6210 Navigator is the addition of an accelerometer - which can actually turn the map in the correct direction depending on the direction you’re heading.

Hmmmm... GPS with accelerometer... on a bike? "Dude, I was like, totally pulling 0.8g on that corner!" Eye-wink

Point is, if you just want a device that will record where you go for uploading to MB then most likely you'll be able to do this with any old phone soon. Get a bluetooth HR monitor + cadence and you'll be away!
