OMV Stage 2
So today I came across a facebook post from SNORC (Sydney North Off Road Cyclists).
"So what is happening with stage 2 of Old Man Valley Mtb trails?
A few of our members have been asking "what on earth if happening with stage 2"!?! So here's a bit of an update.
Councils move about as fast as our club president after one lap of Old Man Valley, but due to the lead mtb man at council being off work for several months things really slowed down. But Anthony is back and the tender process is starting again. This will take some time and we may not know who has won the job until early 2014. But things are moving.
In the meantime, the club will be starting to build some sections of stage 2 in the coming months. This is to help make the money stretch further on the machine built sections to be built next year. Making new trail is pretty cool so keep an eye out for the build days and come along and have a crack at building some new trail. The first of these will start next Saturday 5th October at 2PM. You will also get to meet some of the champions who have been maintaining the trails this year.
And you don't need to be a member of SNORC to come along.
Next Build day - Saturday 5th October 2PM
The first line of stage 2 has been flagged and we will be starting work on this track. If you have one bring a crow bar, mattock or tools to help clear corridors or move rocks. Steel caps are pretty much essential if you are moving the rocks but if you don't have them bring solid shoes. Depending on how many we get, there are some other parts of the trail needing some attention due to the extended period of dry weather. So hopefully we have enough to attend to some of these sections as well. Of course, bring gloves, hat, sunscreen, plenty of water and insect repellent."
Just wondering, does anyone know what stage two is going to entail? I heard talks of a pump track or a jump line?
Cheers, Chris

The trail head map indicates in dotted line section of green , blue and black trails. This will be stage 2. No pump tracks or jump lines as far as I am aware.
See here for image of the map: http://www.hornsby.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/imag...
After posting this I heard in a message from SNORC that stage two was a 2.5km XC loop and stage three was set to be pump/jump facilities
