Details:

Hello all budding new riders.

Some newer participants to the sport have recently asked for some practice in getting out there and riding some of our local trails. So if you are new to mtb riding and would like to come along, please update your 'star' to show your participation.

Trail selection was something fairly easy but not boring. I figure Duckholes/Centre a good ride and far more interesting than doing the Long Trail.

My partner will be minding our child at the park in Terrey Hills shops for the 2 hours, so if this was something your partner might like, then bring them along too. We will hang around to eat afterwards.

I will be in a dark blue Mazda2, and normally park in the Rural Fire Service car park near the toilet block.

See you all there.

Who's in?
Little-Ditty, Caro, rossco_, Daisyduke, ez, Islandhead (6 riders)

Rats... have been waiting for this, and now going hang gliding on Sunday!
Will definitely sign up for the next newbies trail. 2 hours sounds just right
for starters, and to get to know a few people.
Many thanks, R

I was going to come to this for old times sake, but... it's not looking promising I'm afraid Sad

Islandhead's picture

Been a lurker for a while and this seemed like a good time to sign up and ride

Will be interesting watching beginners ride up centre track especially the road leading up to it , you have plenty of time

You can always wait in the playground with Caro and Zarah, and Pratiwi can ride in your place! Reminiscing is always fun!

Scottboy's picture

That gotta hurt is there a challenge happening

Great to see that there will be a few new riders! Am looking forward to meet everybody even if I am only there to see you off and have coffee after Smiling. Should be great fun! I guess it's called Mountain bike riding for a reason Eye-wink but it's always worth it!! See you there.

Weather is forecast as cooler with possible rain, likely in the arvo. So I don't believe the morning weather should prove any obstacle for us. See you all there.

Liam, I was out their during the week. The top section of Duck Holes is very rutted, deep ruts running along the trail, not across it and also very rocky in a number of places. I haven't seen it in as bad condition as it currently is. Have fun.

I will be there, but not if its raining. Don't want to get sick again!

Islandhead's picture

From what I'm seeing 90% chance of rain in the morning, but will make my call when I get up and look at the radar. Hope it's clear.

Caro's picture

No rain over here so we'll be there soon Smiling

Was going to head out to meet you guys is it that wet over there ?

Liam, thanks for organizing the ride. Nice and cool!

Hello!

Can't say anything about the ride but I hope it was good. Rain wasn't too bad just a drizzle half way and enough to chase Zarah and me off the playground.
Nice to meet you both anyway Smiling
Caro

Dare I say it, but we can take a 'rain check' for the next beginners ride. Whenever that will be. To the newcomers, thanks for braving the weather and will hopefully see you next time. Smiling
