Just spent a 3 nights in Tathra recently and just wanted to put it out there that this little beach town have some amazing trails that is well worth the 5-6hours drive from Sydney.
The trails have excellent flow and in need for some riders to ride them. Expect fast flowy section with lots of steep ride down the gully section on "the bridges" and "no second thoughts"
"Hadddi Gatti" is another excellent track that I never had enough off, slight downhill with excellent flow. The climbs are nice too if you enjoy climbing. There are signs and maps where the trail intersects so that you won't get lost. The trails are not overly technical hard, the challenge is how fast you want to go and ride down those steep gully drops.

If you bring your family along like I did, they can spend the time on the beach, or go for a short drive to the Bega metropolis.

Did you venture over to the water tank trails on the other side of the road too? They are not as manicured but still lots of fun. You can come out from the top of the Poo Ponds trails, do the water tank loop, then drop back down through the cool descents.
I've stayed down there twice now because I loved the trails so much.

Yup went over to the "fire shed" trails as the locals call it.
Got slightly lost over there.

They are still actively building trails as far as I know. The place that I stayed at, said that they are getting 1 or 2 MTB visitors every weekend. Things can only get better for Tathra Smiling
