Cascades Monday 27 Jan
Hi everyone,
Going out for a ride on my new bike tomorrow.
Heading to the Cascades trail, parking at the end of Wyatt Ave as per the trail data on this site.
Will be there about 7:30am and plan on spending a couple of hours hitting the tracks.
Haven't done MTB for about 25yrs, so this will be all new to me again.
Back in the day there was no suspension, no disc brakes, no dropper posts.
And the bikes weighed more than the dual suspension rig I'm riding now.
Got a Specialized Camber Expert Carbon Evo and so far very impressed.
If anyones keen on a couple of hours playing tomorrow let me know, or I'll just see you there.
It will be like beginner level for me, pretty unfit, and getting to grips with the techniques of riding again.

I'm looking at one of those, beautiful bike and a nice one to get back into riding with.
Depending how im going i might join you tommorow, i was going to ride there anyway so i might ride a bit earlier.

I haven't ridden any trails before as only just got the bike this week.
So everything is new.
Had a ball out on Cascades today. Although the trails are pretty rocky it was still good fun. Very hard work, but good fun all the same.
Managed to spend 1:40 riding, and covered just under 15km.

I think it had a hiccup at the beginning as the heart rate is for sure wrong - unless I was having a heart attack
I'm keen to do the other sections I missed, but also explore other tracks around Northern Beaches and Sydney.
I'll start planning them a little better and post up in the calendar.
Next Saturday afternoon will be my next outing, any recommendations?

Id be happy to show you cascades. Its my stomping grounds so i no it pretty well. Theres also a bunch of stuff you can link it up with to make a really decent ride with a good mix of everything.

I can make it Sat arvo Mike - I'll tag along with you & Jono. Let me know what time suits you guys. Sounds like Cascades is the go with link-ups to be decided.
I may be able to make saturday arvo as well, I'm pretty slow though, so if you dont mind waiting every now and then, I'm keen.

Hi Mike,
I like your idea of riding at Cascades. I have been there a couple of times on my own, but it is much more fun to ride with other bikers.
I am only living in this awesome country since 3 months and I am trying to get used to all the hills. I am from Holland where everything is just flat!
Tomorrow I am going for some test rides on a new bike, one of them will be a Camber Pro!
So hopefully next time I will be able to join you with my new ride!
