Do you know any South Coast rides...Eden, Bega, Tathra?
G'day
We are off to the South Coast (Eden, Bega, Tathra etc) over the Easter Weekend. Does anyone know of any gentle rides in the South Coast area (my sweetie is new to the whole MTB idea, she inherited my Old School Spesh Enduro FSR).
Please let me know of any smooth, flowing, level tracks ...so I can get her sucked in....

Try Bermagui...I haven't been there but I know they have built a xc track of sorts, try googling 'bermagui mountainbiking'. I'd be interested to hear how it is.

there is a downhill x country trail at batemans bay. I know your further south but you will pass it. http://www.singletracks.com/php/trail.php?id=1707 this site will give directions. it is easy to find, just take old nelligen rd off the highway. good pub at the end of the road too !

If you don't mean that far South, there's loads of easy firetrail in Morton National Park, look at Mount Tianjara.

The MTB park at Bermagui is a nice spot. Its about a 9km lap thats pretty free flowing. It has a couple of jumps plus a couple of harder technical sections but these are signposted and optional.
I'd say its a great location for someone new to the sport, and if things go awry, there is a firetrail smack through the middle of the course which will bring you straight back to the car park.
When you get there, a map shows you the course and the bits to be wary of. Otherwise its a great spot, very shady and close to Bermagui for food.
Thx for the suggestions so far will check it out on the way there / way back...but really looking for some tracks around the Bega area - as we are staying near Tathra on the South Coast for 3-4 days.

Might be a little too far, probably about 120km from Tathra but may be worth a look
