Riding in newcastle

I have an opportunity to visit newcastle for a couple a few days (it would be a monday, tuesday, Wednesday) and just wondering how good the trails are up there and if someone would be keen for a ride?

Cheers,

Jono.

I recently rode Glenrock and there were some great trails in that area, and only a short drive from town.

Lots of flowy single track with plenty of relatively straight forward technical bits just to keep you on your toes. Heaps of great descents and some punishing climbs.

I followed the trail maps on this site and they got me around well.

Here are some of the trails I rode. I highly recommend riding Kennys, High Roller, Suess Land, Shaft and then climb Snakes and Ladders

if your actually in newcastle centre town then you cant go past Glenrock as it will keep you entertsined for hours if not days.

There other bits around but not exactly sanctioned or signposted

And that is close enough to the centre of Newcastle, a short drive or you can ride via the 'Fernleigh Track' which shouldn't be too hard to find.
