Knapsack Volunteer XC & DH Maintenance day - Monday 13th October
Lovers walk Firetrail Gate, get onto Barnet St and head north uphill, the gate and parking is just past the 'S' bend in the road.
The meeting will take place at the front gate of Lovers Walk (Barnett St), please be ready with tools in hand at 7:50. At this time we will move to the work site for the day and a briefing will take place.
The day will be focused on the addition of one XC trail and the closure of 2 sections of trail. (This is part of the formalisation and rationalisation of a XC circuit). Synergy will also have some of their crew working on the Downhill so volunteers are welcome to choose to work with them on the DH trail.
Trail maintenance will only run for 4hrs. To get the most out of it, please arrive early and be ready to start.
Council needs to know a week in advance the number of Volunteers that will be coming. With a bigger turn out, council will hire more staff for the day, that includes Synergy staff.

Another warm one for this Monday. Hopefully the rain holds off until the afternoon.
I'll be there a bit late. School drop off and all that.
Well that was nice to see some results in the XC, or beginning of some results, and some nice rock work on the DH. Need to take a camera next time to get some pics.
It was great fun working with rock on the DH track again today. The new XC work looks good too. Was a shame I had to ride my bike on it to check it work okay.
The rain and lightning storm hit just as we were leaving, so it worked out okay. Well I got wet riding home.
Might ride over again later when the storms have past to check it out better.
