Wear & Tear

Sorry, none of this is that interesting, save for reference later to see how long things last.

The Rush got a new Crossmark on the front just now (5 months, 900Km old). Annoyingly had to go to the servo to get it to seal. The rear won't be lasting too much longer, what with all the talk of Larson on the back maybe I'll try that when the time comes.

I also note that the rear derailleur is very wobbly. There was a loose nut on the lower jockey, but that's not the issue. Seems something has gone wrong with the rotating joint that it screws to the hanger with, this is what's causing the wobble. The cage has loads of marks like it's taken a hit... someone commented the hanger looked very slightly bent the other week too. Perhaps it's had a bit of a set-to with some rocks while I was no doubt too busy grinning and caning towards the next set! Eye-wink

Looks like there will be a new rear mech being fitted along with the rest of the new drive train - this will happen very shortly.

Oh, and the sidewinder gloves both have holes on the inner palm, just where the last set went. They've seen 1500Km of action in the last 8 months.

What's more interesting is how the Rush handles with a new Crossmark on the front, when compared to the old one that just came off.

Guess when the grip is slowly seeping away you don't notice the gradual change, then along comes a new tire and Whammo! Grip galore!

Certainly felt very good on Sunday's ride, that's for sure! Laughing out loud
