Another Epic northern beaches ride?
Hi all,
I was thinking of fitting in one last training hit-out before the 50km Dirtworks. So this training ride is intended to be in the vicinity of 50km distance. It isn't really recommended for our newbies. However it is also not intended to be a non-stop effort either. We will be waiting here and there for the train to catch up.
What's say we commence from Narrabeen Lake, then, based on rider preference, proceed to ride about 50km through Oxford Falls, Red Hill, Cascades, Terrey Hills, then back again?
Also, what day is preferred? Mine would be an 8:00 a.m. start on Saturday 26th April.
What do you guys think?

how long are you planning to ride for though? although i guess i can always peel off and go home!! hee hee
MEEEE
But the ride will be about 50km and that will take between 4 hours (a small fast group) to 5 hours (anything else).
With a team of around 20 last time and the ride taking in technical sections that some had to walk......
Anyway, I'm up for it.
(With all this rain my boys Saturday soccer will be called off)
Greg
keen but have to be at a lunch at 1pm attempting to look like a girl again so maybe won't get to do the whole ride...

Bernd
Remind me again Christine - are you going cammo or commando
so, is this ride going ahead?
i am keen
Binned!! Sorry, but the trails are too wet, too muddy, not enough tracks that connect up Oxford Falls anymore, etc, etc.
If anyone wants to try a shorter, drier ride on Saturday, like Cascades or Lane Cove, please let me know.
Cheers!
Might be interested...picked up my new ride two days ago and have been hanging out to get a ride in. If the weather is sunny and dry I could be up for cascades. Be warned, I havent been on a bike in a few years and my fitness is lacking, but I gotta start somewhere right?
