I am definately a newbie, possibly the biggest on these forums. Def keen to come check it out. I don't suppose anybody has a spot on their bike rack for me? Saves me having to ride all the way there by myself.

I have some mates also keen on trying out MTBing. This easy going ride is perfect.
Greg
I'm still in
After last night I just gotta do this trail in the daytime!! I'm in.
hey bern.. where are you planning to ride?
Liz
.. same as last time, Perimeter + Long!!
Start at the shops , or down the road to the School and start going bush from there.
Bernd
Hey there,
I am a Newbie so I'm just wondering whether we would ride in a pack or at our own pace.
Cheers,
Nic.
are an extremely social bunch!
We always ride together and even when those ahead get a bit infront, we stop regularly to regroup, have a chat, and have a drink
I'm tempted by this one too as my legs need a bit of a slow spin after the DW. We'll see how it goes
Cheers,
Loz
Hey guys,
Since this ride is starting at such a reasonable time....
There is plenty of time to fit in an extra ride before hand.
So, for those who are intersted in a bit of extra kms, I'll be doing Duckponds and Centre track before hand and time it to finish back at the Terry Hills shops just before 9am.
This will start at around 7:45am and be at a reasonable pace in order to get back in time for the main ride.
Cheers,
Loz

If not, see you at 9!

Just joined the site and have recently got into MBR with my Partner. Would love to turn up on Saturday. See you there
Cheers Adam and Cath
...depending on what my sports physician says tomorrow. I buggered my knee a couple of weeks ago at track session. Apparently it's bad for you to run in circles...Anyway, this ride might just be perfect for getting back into things. Cheers, Anke
for Saturday. I hope this will be an easy ride.
Cheers
Anke
there'll be me and a friend.. and I'm very new!!
Looking forward to meeting you all!
Well done organising this ride Bernd
See you all tomorrow!
Cheers,
Loz
Hey guys, is there anyone with a spare spot on a bike rack, roof rack or who's got a wagon with enough room to please give me a lift. I currently don't own my own rack and its a rather long ride to get out there for me.
Noel has offered but there is some uncertainty as to whether my bike will fit. SO in the possibility that I can't get a lift with Noel is there anyone else who is feeling generous that I would be able to get a lift with. I live in Pymble so anyone who might be passing through?
The bars are 400 apart, do you think that will hold your stumpy up? Do you have a roll of gaffer tape? That might do it. One bar goes under the top tube (near the head tube) and one needs to go somewhere at the back. Maybe next to the seat tube and we tape it?
Hey I won't be accepting liability for damages, but am willing to help out. Maybe we can just hang it out the boot and tie the boot shut? I can tow you. Part of Mona Vale rd is 90 ks so that could be fun for you.
Ring me if unsure but I think I'll leave by 8:00 or 8:15 am. Good to get there early, so we can go and lay the fake rubber snakes out on the track to scare people for shitz and giggles!
This will be my 1st ride with clipless pedals!! Except for just a little muck around at the park. Be prepared to laugh when I fall over!
Conditions are looking good (nice and dry).
Oh you are in for some embarrassing stacks then, believe me.hehe. I'm still getting used to mine and some of the stacks I've had are so lame, thank god noone was around.
Depending on the thickness of the bars it might just squeeze on. There's 400mm of room but it gets pretty tight in some areas. What is the diameter of the bar i.e thicknes? If theyre not super fat it will be fine. Or as u suggested we could chuck it in the boot? Im pretty easy. Just wanna ride and meet some new riding buddies
Thanks for organising it Bernd! I had a great time, and conditions were perfect! I went well on the clipless Candies, certainly makes easier work of fire trails, up AND down. Went faster today in some spots than ever before.
Thanks Bernd and everyone else for a top ride today and a pretty good coffee afterwards. Hope to see you all on other rides soon.
Cheers, Mark
...gr8t ride, Thanks to all. I hope our "crash girl" is ok!
let's do a newbee ride again soon, it was fun.
I will put the pic up later tonight.
Bernd
Well done everyone
I had a great time, and it was good to see many more new faces on the trails! Even managed to follow Andy for some nice singletrack too.
Great effort by everyone. Not too slow at all, I worked up a fair sweat!
See you all next time.
Cheers,
Loz
Had lots of fun despite the "sick" knee. It actually feels alright this morning. Also good to catch up with the faster group after the ride - thanks, everyone. See you soon, Anke
