At 1:55pm on 08/03/2015 Macquarie Fields Police stopped a 22 year old man in Macquarie Fields. At the time he was in possession of the Yeti SB66C mountain bike as shown in the pictures. The man could not offer a reasonable explanation of where the mountain bike was purchased and it was seized.

Police have made inquiries on the mountain bike and discovered that it is a rare (in Australian) American brand bike that retails in the vicinity of $5000-6000. The bike is a specialist make that would likely be used by an avid mountain bike rider.

Police are appealing for any information on this mountain bike and in particular, anyone that may know of a similar model being lost or stolen in the Sydney area.

If anyone can assist us with information concerning this mountain bike, they are urged to contact Macquarie Fields Police on 9605-0499. Quote E57080332.

My question is would the bike ride differently after being stolen?

No Jonathan...but it would ride better after the turd that stole it got smashed in the face with it.

...and was given a good reaming by the seat post with the bolts still attached.

don't you mean with the seat still attached?

I think that would hurt less with only minimal bleeding. If you could insert the entire thing however....
