A dude of cloth.
Appears to have a problem with Lycra . But rides a 29er?
Where is the respect.
The thing is Dudeism is an ironic religion, which I think lycra on a mountain bike is too, just maybe not intentionally.
just trying to stir the pot.
need some entertainment.
Lets have an all out keyboard war.
I'll start. Lycra wearing 29 inch MTB riders are all pussies.
.....
popcorn ready
go!!!!!
That's insulting to pussies.
but But You're a man of Cloth. You are supposed to be rational.....ohh wait!!!!
The hazard reduction burns down at Kowen might have cleaned out some weeds of a different kind.
What have you been inhaling? Hmm?
Incense
So that would make him incensed.
Personally I wouldn't get that wound up about it, but I see the irony.
Have you ever watched the Big Lebowski? No rationality there. Now back to these MTB riders wearing lycra.
Well, I must admit I'm prone to wear it in hot conditions and while racing.
I could say that it's because it's the most functional attire for the job. And that would be true.
But if you were to dig a little deeper, I might (or might not) admit to taking a perverse pleasure in grossing people out. "Like, just HTFU and deal with it." A bit like farting in elevators.
Or like this (warning, NSFW earworm):

I've seen. you in lycra and it is pretty gross
The question is not why Lycra the question is why do some cover their Lycra with little baggy shorts.
Because the Lycra is too thin or worn out. Wearing shorts over it hides you crack from offending everyone riding behind you.
Lycra also holds your nuts in place.
Modesty and added protection.
I wear Lycra pants (not top) & love it. Being in my mid 40's, the extra padding helps 'soften the ride'.
If you don't like it then don't look at me.
I'm not ashamed & do not feel the need to wear shorts over the top.
Cheers, Daisy
Anyone having to ride behind anyone they consider offensive needs to train harder so they can pass quicker.
See it like this: lycra wearing fatties are doing fellow riders a favour - they force others to become a faster rider and should be acknowledged for putting themselves on the line for the greater good of the cycling community.
I love how these posts grow.
Like leg hair.
But then you shave yours off, don't you?
Are you looking in the mirror as you type?
