Christine will I be up to it or too slow??? (after last Wednesday night as an indicator!)
probably be a bit faster and there are hills...we ride up Akuna Bay Road (yes?) to join the tracks, so it's quite a lot hillier than last week - do you like hills - as they boys will say.. hills are you friends!!
do you others agree? Not with hills being friends, the other stuff i babbled on about...
Is there a Babble-fish tool out there?
Im very keen to get out but not sure about these hills and don't want to hold the group up. Compared to the normal terry hills night ride am I going to struggle?
but I'm commuting to work that day and Thursday on the bike.
..
should I?
What's the worst thing that could happen?
I am a maybe at this stage as I normally post a ride for Thursdays but no can do at this stage.
I might bust a lung! OK ill stop being a wuss. Im in!
Guys,
Duck Holes and Centre trails are a shorter distance than the usual night ride, but there is a lot more climbing and as a result of all the rain they are washed out, meaning there are fist size rocks all over the track and this make it more treacherous.
If you are only new to riding or lack the expertise on rough/rocky trails I would recommend that you first do these trails in the light before tackling them at night.
Paul
Im undecided now :|
Its not as hard a ride as it sounds.
singlespeed 'roid boy!
Not at the moment I am about as out of shape as I can get.
I think I actually went down this trail the first time I came to a night ride and missed the group. We joined up with the group at the turn off to the head trail...
I used to take my son along the centre track and Duck holes on his BMX when he was 9 and it wasn't graded at all then. You'll be OK Snowbird, If it doesn't kill you it will make you stronger.
Steve.
So if it kills me I will have to live with the fact your 9 yo son is better than me hehe
thing of the past losers! Why dont you become newly self employed carpenters like me? Im broke but ive got a day off tomorrow and hoping to get a nice smooth 100km road ride in! Guaranteed to make my legs burn but keep my bike spotless! Mmm, dry, clean bitumen!
Sorry folks, looks like someone hacked Gazza's account. I'll give him a call and ask him to change the password to something more secure.
Are you gunna have enough change from your dole money for a latte?
Not sure If I'll make it back home in time to come.. but will do my best.
Don't wait if I'm not there...
Loz
the wonders of modern technology im able to write this and gloat from the end of west head overlooking palm beach, 51km into a beautifull sunny road ride. Adios office suckers!
Get on your bike and ride!
Says he who is wishing that he was also on a bike ride instead of being in the office...
training finished early, so i'll be there!!!
riding home now
see you there!
and probably will be late, don't wait for me.
thank you everyone for such a fun ride!!!
Thanks for organising I had a great ride. Might not see you for a few weeks though I have done something to my Achilles playing basketball today! off to doctor now
and see my girlfriend who does Bowen Treatment - its magic and you will be riding in no time at all - she is a legend and it really works so well and FAST which, lets face it, is a priority!
let me know if you want her details...
