How is the Oaks Trail looking recently?
Hello fellow MTB’ers
Has anyone ridden the Oaks Trail in the Blue Mts recently? I know they were doing some pretty major Maintenance work on it a month or 2 ago.
What kind of condition is it in? is it now like a smooth highway? I hope they haven’t touched the Singletrack!!

We rode it few weeks back and seems the work as been limited to the firetrail above the helipad. In places a lot of vegetation has been cleared from either side and a bit of grading done by the looks of it. At one point you can actually see some nice views now which is a bonus, and this stuff was never really narly so don't think ride wise things have changed, despite what we thought might be happening to begin with.
The really, really tough section of the climb was a bit easier on that last ride, although it was still very rough and am not sure if they actually worked on that or is due to rain washing stuff in between the cracks.
Do not fear - the sniggle at the bottom is good as ever!
The Oaks is fine its a little smother and faster now but essentially the same as before the single track has not been touched at all.

We had planned on doing it last Saturday but due to the rain didnt ride it...bummer!
