Last minute decision!!!
I wasn't going to do the Angry Doctor this year but after getting a very generous offer from Lance saying I could have his 100km entry. I'd to quickly arranged accomodation for my wife and kids and off we went to Mogo on Saturday afternoon.
This was my first 100km race and I didn't know what I was getting myselft into. So, the plan was to do the first 50km nice and steady and see how I was feeling for the second 50km.
When I got the first 50km, I bumped into Loz who was quickly taking some more pain killers and shortly after Tien, Buck & Rob arrived. We had a bit of a chat to see how everyone was feeling and off we went for the second 50km.
At this stage I was feeling pretty good so decided to push it a bit more leaving Tien, Buck & Rob behind.
Everything was ok until the 80km when I just couldn't stay on the saddle for another minute. My back side was hurting like hell
The last 20km I just took it very slow because by then my goal was to finish the race.
I'm very happy to finish in 08:05. Not so happy to learn the hard way, that I'll need to invest in a better saddle and knicks for my next race.

Not a bad time for a last minute decision a bit of preperation does make it a little easier.
