I did the 50km - too many hills for my liking.
Sounds like the better half of the course is definately in the second 50kms
Time of 3:16 (23rd in my category). A couple of chain suck mals, major back spasms & the dreaded IBT knee.

I started with the 1st group and the group of riders that i rode most of the race with dropped off in the last 15kms. I rode solo for 20 - 30mins from the top of the firetrail hill (around 40kms) till the finish. Unfortunately, my pace dropped off alot too.

I spent alot of the race watching how slowly the kms were going by especially with those switchbacks with no apparent reason, bar adding extra kms.

I'll have to get my game on for the 24hr.
