You are hereShhh... don't tell the Rush
Shhh... don't tell the Rush
It's no secret the Manly Dam circuit has been getting easier over the last year or so, but this is just silly...
I went over there this morning with a plan to do a few laps at a fast but sustainable pace. After last week's road escapade and the Fat Tyre coming up wanted to make sure I hadn't forgotten how to ride MTB circuits
The course was predictably devoid of riders as everyone should be down at the Fling. First couple of laps went by feeling good - it was nice to bump into Andrew (dude on a bling Cove Handjob) for part of that too which kept the pace up a bit. Shortly into the third it began to rain so decided to make this the last. Was still sort of cruising until top of heartbreak hill, but from then decided to push on a bit to see how this would go. Was the third lap after all, so how fast could it end up?
As it turns out, this fast. A new PB, and on the Yeti too. Oh dear, and this is meant to be a play bike. Shhhhh... don't tell the Rush!
So laps today, 35:58, 36:44, 33:57... non-stop all the way (yup - zero dabs)... very satisfying!

Good time. Have you considered trading the Rush for a ASR Carbon and really setting a fast time.
He thought it necessary to mention that he didn't need to lay down, too funny Rob
Eh? Lay down? What you talkin' 'bout Cupcake?
much later that day, you made the announcement(most entertaining it was), you were drinking a Bundy so you may not remember
Ahhhh... you mean it was something I said in real life and didn't type.... ahhhhhhh
Yeah, I was sleepy is all, nothing to do with the Bunday
You mean there's life beyond the forum?
Rob - I told you they were quick, who said they are just for going over bumps?
Wicked time mate..
