Ingar trail elevation.
Hi guys.
Has anyone measured the climb from bedford creek to tablelands road on the ingar trail (elevation climbed). I rode up from glenbrook (oaks), up ingar, down andersons and down oaks, and was just wondering what the total climb would be, and how it compares to some of the 100km races.
thank you.

Hey - where's Mr Groover with an answer to this? I thought he'd be straight in there with all his local knowledge.
The main part of the climb up Ingar is around 200m, it then gently climbs another 200 or so. Probably taller than most climbs in 100km races here, but not as difficult as some.
But I don't, I have a Garmin GPS but don't bother using it much and I hardly even use a bike computer any more.
John.
If i recall last time i climbed up the Oaks-ingar it was around 1800-1900M climbing to the top, though that did include the climb out of bedford creek camp groud too. It was 2260M total climbing back to woodford Station. Which is where everyone decided to pull the pin so didnt fancy going down the Oaks on my Jacky Jones, but look forward to doing the full trip in the next few weeks.

Thanks Dean, exactly what i was looking for. So 2400m all up if we include the oaks down again. Not too bad for a training ride.
Oops, the oaks is 500m of climbing, so closer to 2800m all up. even better.
Con what was your overall time for this marathon ?

Hi Dean,
It was a couple of weeks back, that real hot Sunday. I left Glenbrook Station about 9.30? back there about 3.30 (was at the bakery by 4 ). Didn't stop much, but i went up the Ingar trail (goes up forever) and then down Andersons. When I got back to Woodford the second time, the Great Western Highway looked appealing, but I forced my way down the Oaks.
Man, that's some nice training there Deano. Think anyone entering 100Km event should consider doing that kind of ride at least once in their schedule!
