Not the sharpest tool in the shed.
When I first read about it a few weeks ago I thought it was an unfortunate accident.
Now it turns out she was doing everything wrong. No helmet, riding on the wrong side, iPod blasting away, not looking ahead.
While I hope she makes a speedy recovery, it was all totally avoidable in the first place.
Why would you? I don't get it at all.
Was she wearing a skin suit.
http://www.animalcommencal.com she was indeed donning the GB suit.
I'm more surprised that no one (from NoBMoB) has mentioned what type of training she was doing...
Don't all hardcore MTB riders only stick to dirt?
I thought there was a natural connection about riding on the road and being a girl - so no earth shattering news here.
..but I get your point, PB's that are girl's crash when they ride on the road. She was probably bored to death!
Go Big or Go Home
Maybe that's why she was riding on the wrong side of the road and playing chicken with trucks....
Colt
...you wont get a bite out of us 'real girls' for that one!!
Christine/Anke no dis-respect meant to the 'real girl' rider.
What I was trying to say, very ineloquently is that IMHO road riding is the equivalent to the missionary position. It's better than nothing, but only just. It’s always the "same old same old" kilometer after kilometer..."will I ride that SMOOTH ascent, will I ride that SMOOTH descent, maybe I'll ride a SMOOTH flat bit for a while".
Taking a road rider off-road is like introducing them to the “Kama Sutra” – they are amazed at the pleasure they can get trying something different, by going a little slower and just enjoying the trip not just speeding to the destination.
Road riding is so boring I hear Floyd Landis was disowned by the Mennonite's because he was a road rider and not exciting enough for them.
Look at poor Rachel – started riding on the road and the boredom set in. She tried AC/DC that didn’t help so decide to play chicken with a truck just to end it. Give her suspension, tranquility, dirt, trees and riding buddies – she’ll regain her sanity.
Go Big or Go Home
Hah! Hilarious!
that girl know's her musik! AC/DC..... thats a start,
