"Stan's No tubes" or "Joe's No flats" ?

I'm about to order a "Joe's No Flats" conversion kit from CRC. They don't stock Stans. Is there a major difference in performance? Both seem to be based on latex mixture - Joe's seems to contain more particulates to seal larger holes.

What is your experience?

These (very similar) videos seems pretty convincing...

I tried both brands for very long periods.
I converted several conventional wheels to tubeless with both brands'conversion kits.
And I've used (and I'm using) their selants in my UST wheelset.
Both brands are offering great products.
I can't say one is better than the other...
Choose the one that you find the best price.
As a suggestion for the conversion it's better to use a tubeless ready tire!
And you may probably need pressurized air for the start-up.
But you may be lucky with your floor pump as well.
Good luck.
Welcome to flat free riding.
Cheers.

I used joes a couple of times to test. Once inadvertantly when I was at stromlo with no stans anywhere in sight cos I had forgot to top it up. Stans seems to hold up better in my limited exp. (just two large bottles of joes). Only catch for me is to remember to topup. Running stans for years...

I have a stans kit on my Mavic 117 rims. They have performed flawlessly over 500km since purchase.

It looks like these guys have the tyres pumped up to the max! and how much goop do they put in? I thought it was supposed to be a cup. looks like their tyres are full. I dont know much about it so any input about what others do is appreciated.

depends

generally 1.5 scoops will work well.

I've been using Stans for over 4 years.
I looked at a Joes bottle recently out of curiosity, and the specified quantity is significantly more than the 60ml Stan recommends, (though I can't remember exactly what it was). I'm really into 'less weight is better', so will keep using Stans until I find something the equal or better.
I use 1.5 scoops generally 40-50g in non-tubeless tyres (only ever uses a UST tyre set once in the beginning).
I've got a tubeless story in my blog that may be helpful. http://nobmob.com/blog/96 [ Ed. here: http://nobmob.com/node/6453 ]
