Depending on who comes along I may incorporate some games into this ride to ensure you all have fun and don’t hooooon around...

I'm in! I'll beat you all 1 legged Sticking out tongue

How can the clock be stuck?!! Eye-wink

Buck's picture

She's tried many times before but she still hasn't worked out how to use the Edit button Smiling

christine's picture

i am called blondie for a reason... Smiling

Lozza - do you want us to have a hopping race at the end of the ride so you can be included?!!!

Rob's picture

Oh look... someone looks to have fixed it for you.

Tentatively in.

lozza6's picture

I don't think you could handle this kind of paced ride!!

It'd drive you insane! Laughing out loud

christine's picture

you are my hero - have been for years now!!
thank you - it was stuck on my computer, weird hey! Smiling

Colt's picture

Tentatively in also. I'm getting sick of missing most of the rides due to my work schedule, so while I am working that day i'm going to try and organise to get it off and actually get to another ride again.

Col

craigs's picture

Since when has 7:30 become the social time of day?....
Haha...will drag myself out for this one.

Maria's picture

10:00 sounds more social to me, but I'm a lurker, so I don't think I have much say...

christine's picture

is the style of ride not the time!
If we left at 10 we would be out nearly all day and I have too much other stuff to do for that... anyway, 7.30 is social considering we have been starting at 6.30 quite a bit!

anke13's picture

I'm with Christine. Starting at 7:30am means everyone can get on with their day after the ride.

valierm's picture

is if you're still out after a big night

christine's picture

some of us wont be? wouldn't be the first time!!

oh thats right - Lozza is off the bike at the moment.. Smiling

lozza6's picture

that was uncalled for! Sticking out tongue

christine's picture

true.. babe!

lozza6's picture

So I can cut back on the drinking... gawd with no riding commitments in the weekend/mornings, you just let yourself go at night! hahaha

GRRR

MDOldFart's picture

if you want to tag along and drink Eye-wink

Jo's picture

I think you are all being very mean to Lozza6. If he is injured and can't ride it must be a very frustrating time for him and all you seem to do is pick on him.

Lozza6 why don't you come to this ride and I will sit and talk to you while your friends do the ride. I'm always up for a chat and after spending a year in a missionary I have the most wonderful stories that are sure to inspire and enlighten you.

A hill twice climbed is never as steep.

lozza6's picture

Thanks for the support Jo Smiling

its alright though, its nobmob etiquette to kick people when they're down Sticking out tongue

It is very frustrating not being able to get on the bike, but its good cos i'm using this frustration to focus on my re-hab so i can get going again as soon as possible.

You naturally develop thick skin being a nobmobber, comes with the territory of being an elite social rider Laughing out loud

Thanks for the offer Jo. I'd love to turn a social ride into pikeys dream ride with no bikes and just beer, however I've just arrived in HK for a bucks/wedding, so unfortunately wont be able to attend sissy's fun ride.

Have fun guys!

Jo's picture

Kicking people when they are down is not the way I was bought up, but re-reading it I can guess these people are probably your friends, so it was just a ribbing they were giving you.

If you need someone to help you get back on that bike, give me a call. I’m wanting to go to the next level and I like the idea of matching it with an “elite social rider”

Have fun in Hong Kong.

christine's picture

You can't get much more of an 'elite social rider' than Loz who is also very patient and funny so should be good for you to hit the trails with - Loz... when are you back honey?

Rob's picture

He better be back next week, carrying lots of electronics goodies for his mates! Smiling

christine's picture

loz - can you please get me some perfume too if i email you? Smiling

craigs's picture

..... seen this morning at Terrey Hills shops 7:45ish...a couple of nobmobbers cursing and swearing where the group was for this ride..
Hans, should we tell them who it was?

MDOldFart's picture

who were the two of you seen by?

Nic's picture

... admiring the view on Long Track!

Hans's picture

Great turnout for the Newbies / Lurkers social ride this morning!

Hi Christine and others, thanks for the great ride this morning! Perfect weather, albeit a bit chilly for the first 10 minutes. Good fun to meet old and new faces. Sorry for Craig and me and some others to arrive a bit late, but we eventually caught up with the main group just before the lookout.

NoBMoB - First 2009 Afternoon (de)light

Great to see that there is a very similar ride posted already for next Saturday, the 16th of May. We'll be there for more!

P.S. Craig - how did you talk yourselves out of getting your ID checked at the end of the ST?

The date says it all... don't try and confuse everyone with old pictures or they won't show next weekend.

Paul's picture

Guys, nice to meet you all this morning, sorry I couldn't stick around but I had to continue on wit my training ride.

I thought there were supposed to be more riders!

Alysum's picture

So it's all these secret rides that seems to be contributing to the decline of posted rides on NobMob it seems! Eye-wink

Tom

mtnbike's picture

hi - i know that i'm new to Nobmob but i'm totally confused:) i'll be there next Sat morning and hopefully there will be a few around:) looking forward to it

Will Levy

christine's picture

Honestly, even I find it amazing that 2 nobmobbers can be so confused.

Check the fricken date boys! I will be there on Saturday... Smiling

MDOldFart's picture

christine's picture

and here I am back again on a Sunday, working my fingers to the bone while you are all probably out having mothers days lunches!

MEEE Smiling

Chris H's picture

G'day guys, I'm new around here so i'm looking forward to meeting some fellow riders on Saturday. I've riden part of the Perimeter trail before, but mainly stick to the Dam because of it's proximity to my house, so i'm looking forward to something different this week

Cheers,
Chris H

craigs's picture

Erm, there was a large dose of tacking the piss out of ourselves for being silly and confusing the date. As there were NO rides posted this ride was at the top of the list and of course being soooo eager to go out riding... we did.
Gosh lighten up.

The newbies and lurkers ride will go ahead on the DATE it is SCHEDULED for (obviously) irrespective of what Hans and I did on Saturday just gone.
It will be lots of fun for old and new.

anke13's picture

I think that was so funny. It was a perfect day for riding, so no harm done. For a moment you confused me with your text message, as I didn't see you name up for Sam's road ride and was wondering if we should have waited for you - in Hornsby.

Happy days!

Looking forward to seeing you NEXT Saturday Smiling

Great Ride No stress especially after the Dirtworks. Fun morning had by all. Look Forward to Wednesdays Social. Stuart

ScottM's picture

I've been off the bike for almost 3 months, so this will be a great ride to get back into it. I hope my newly aquired gut doesn't stop me reaching the bars.

stu's picture

Looking forward to Saturday, unfortunately I won't be able to hang around & chat after ride.
Have to be back at West Pennant Hills by 10.30 for sons soccer match.

Cheers Stu.

OzMoT's picture

look forward to meeting you guys! Was keen for wednesday night but still got the swine flu. Also new to Terry Hills.

Dirty

christine's picture

...it would be greatly appreciated if you boys would PLEASE wear shorts over your nicks for this ride...

Nooobies and Lurkers, there is no point coming along if you aren't going to actually speak to people - this is, after all, a social ride...!!!!

We will be stopping and re-grouping at the usual places - since there are enough regular nobmobbers coming I am not going to list them
...but everyone note - we don't leave anyone behind!

oh and i am thinking I will probably need to eat something at the look out...meaning it's not a fly by stop

MEEE Smiling

Bernd's picture

that is!!!
I would like to wear to ride my Bike (SS or the F A T) what ever I want!!!
And I'm planning to do so into the future......................!!!!!
Bernd

ar_junkie's picture

Eye-wink

christine's picture
