Manly Daily - Taken for a ride
This is interesting

What I actually said was that there were only 5Km of legal single track in the local vicinity. But I guess that's the same thing - I mean, we don't condone illegal activities so it's pretty much the same thing.

Really good to see positive press. Also good to see a pollie stepping up, must be getting near election time is it?
I'd be a little less concerned about being slightly misquoted than I would about the pic having Brad standing beside a Manly Dam wet weather sign, If people "read" the pic and skim the article, as is often the case with local rags, some might jump to the conclusion that we're complaining about being locked out when it rains.
Again, even acheiving the positive press is a great step and I, and I'm sure everyone else, really appreciate your continued efforts.
Thanks
The Old Fart
Well done Rob, it's surely good news the press is taking notice.
The article comes across just and fair. Lets hope for more.

Well done! Fantastic news that the issue has even been brought up in parliament, and your bushwalker/football field analogy is absolutely brilliant!
Mountainbike. Because it's there.
That analogy is gold
Nice work
Thanks for being the voice of most of us. I, for one, know that I have a lot to say about trail access and advocacy in the Northern Beaches but don't have time or the confidence to put into words what I and most of us feel. Keep up the good work. It looks like it's paying off with the publicity you and we, as a group, are getting.
Once again, well done!
Wow, for a MP to say anything positive is one move forward. Can we have some suggestions to encourage more media coverage on this. It seems that politicians only do anything if they seem to be doing nothing positive for their voters.
It's a great article and hit the nail right on the head for exactly the way that I feel.
Just wish there was more action and less moaning though. Happy Days!!!!!
My wife asked me what was up when she heard a "yahoo" come from the loungeroom this morning when I first saw the paper.
When she looked at it first thing she said was why are they complaining about not being allowed to ride in the rain...
But hey, full front page coverage is such a good thing. This is such a good step, well done to all resposible.
And yep, I loved the footy field analogy too!
Rob, really appreciate your effort. Thanks heaps.
Once again nice work to those responsible. Another job well done.
