Mountain Madness
Woodford train station car park
Mountain Madness is a long training ride on the tracks at Hazo/Lawson then down St Helenas including the lost world lookout and Bunyan lookout. The pace will be quick as I'm training for the 12 hour. St Helena's is fairly technical and flying down there this morning I had adrenaline flowing out both ears, if your fit, love fast rocky descents and heaps of single track this is for you.
Eye protection is highly recommended and long sleeves/arm warmers will stop a few scratches. It's rocky and fast so check your tyre pressure.
The length of the ride is variable as you could just do the Hazo/Lawson tracks or both, there is an option to do more riding as with every ride I do everyone else has had enough before me.
Cheers.

This ride could be longer than the 3 hours it says above, I put 3-7 hours in the time slot but it doesn't do the range thing
Also we could start this ride earlier if that's a popular choice.
John.
Sounds good John
I would have come along if I wasn't already doing the road ride. Have fun!
You would have loved it, St Helenas was dry today as there hasn't been so much rain up here and it drains well, oh well next time.
I could do with discovering some new trails in the mountains. I keep doing the Oaks>Ingar>Andersons>Oaks as my main mountain training. A change of scenery would be nice. However I think I'm heading off to Ourimbah in the morning with a few mates to go play on the sniggle up there.
If I hadnt already done this today with you I would come along again.
Had a great ride today John thanks for sugesting St Helena's it was an absoloute blast.
Cheers for the great ride today John.
This ride tomorrow does sound very good indeed, but we are going to pass this time. We have a few things we need to get sorted tomorrow being as it is the only free weekend we will have for a while. so many bloody races on at the moment...
