New mountain bike

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hi all,

I'm once again looking for your valued opinion and advice. Plus, I know it's great fun to spend someone else's money for a change Smiling

I'm currently toying with the idea of buying my first dual suspension bike and since I'm not very tall or heavy, I'm specifically looking at women's bikes. My budget is $2500 (and this time I'd like to stick to it).

Here are three I have so far come up with. I have no idea about components when it comes to mountain bikes, so not sure how you would rate these.

Tyres - Anyone used MAXXIS Hansventure

As anyone used MAXXIS Hansventure? what do you think of them?

I'm thinking about using it as a rear tyre.

Some of you might have heard... the drive side crankarm on the Truvativ Elita cranks on my crosser came loose recently. Press fit joint where the spider joins the axle or something. Slightly annoying, but I picked up a bargain crankset (Rouleur - actually the model above Elita) for around 90 bucks from CRC (whopping 75% off or something at the time). These are good as gold so far.

Nice 29er Frames

For those contemplating single speed I came across these 29er frames the other day and they are great value and a nice frame.

Vassago Jabberwocky 29er Single Speed

I might get one to build up as a rigid SS race bike for the solo 24hr.
