Affiliate Deals
In case you missed it, we've recently joined a number of affiliate programs for online retailers - look... down there in the footer
Now, I know this (shopping online versus with your LBS) is a contentious issue, but... there is a lot of chat in the forum about shopping and the options are well known.
Please try and support your LBS if you can, there is good value to be had in many local stores, and sometimes you cannot beat seeing an item in the flesh before buying.

Pushys tyre sale
Looks like some worthwhile bargains to be had from this local online and B&M shop. From what I hear they have a solid reputation and are very different to the likes of Cycling Express. They did a great deal on a fleet of hardtails for my son's school and their mtb program.

Local Bike Shop
Does anyone know of a good bike shop around the Northbridge area for service work? I really like Clarence St Cycles but getting the bike there and finding parking is always a mission. I have tried "Cranks" a couple of times but have always left pretty disappointed with how rude the staff member was who helped me.

Stans No Tube Rim Tape in Sydney?
Hi
Does anyone know where I can get some Stans notubes 25mm Rim tape in Sydney/ Australia. Tried all the regular places, but turned up nothing.
Be a shame to purchase something as simple as this from overseas.
Cheers.

Cycling Express
Just over three weeks ago I placed a parts order with Cycling Express - I'm still waiting for the parts. When I chased up the order I was told some of the items were out of stock, although there was no indication of this when I placed the order. My last email asking for an update went unanswered.
I chose to use Cycling Express over Chain Reaction, and was even willing to pay a bit more to support an Aussie company. But in my experience the service from Chain Reaction is so much better and faster. My last order with Cycling Express took about 6 weeks to ship from memory.

Go-Pro chest mount for $20
Just received an email from Deal Extreme advertising their new arrivals and noticed this offer. I don't have a go-pro but I'm sure there are plenty on here who do.

From experience, deal extreme can take up to a month to arrive and quality of items may not always be great but this mount may well be worth a punt.

Cyclery Northside
Would just like to say Cyclery Northside at Chatswood has done some work for me recently and I've been really happy with them, so if you are looking for an LBS on the Northside of Sydney, you might want to check them out.

Complete bike or frame and build from OS
Has anyone done the maths on wether to just but the frame in Aus and get al the other parts from overseas i.e Chain Reaction etc.
I do not understand how the LBS can charge an extra $1300 from SLX group set to XT on a complete built when I can get this for all the parts closer to $900 not including wheels, headset. So taking into account the original cost of the SLX group set and then add the extra dollars for the upgrade. Is it worth the extra say $2000 than getting this in OS and getting someone to build it up?
Anyone help or comments appreciated.

661 elbow/knee gear in shops?
Hey
Looking for recommendations for shops that have stock of 661 gear. I've not run elbow and knee protection before, sick of bark coming off! So I'm in 2 minds about whether to get the sleeve type (rhythm, veggie) or the bulkier Rage, Evo.
I've been to a few shops around newie, where I live and the central coast but no one has much to try on. I disliked the riot elbow gear, too restricting.
I'd rather buy stuff locally than go online, any recommendations for shops, looks like I'm going to have to go to Sydney, would be tops.
Cheers
