DH jersey

Hi all,

There is currently some discussion about doing another Nobmob lycra jersey order.

As coincidence has it, and for those interested in this kind of thing, I thought I should mention that some of the 'Mob' are currently in the design phase of a DH jersey. A version of this should be available to view in another month or so. The jersey will be in the typical DH/FR long sleeve sort, and mainly black and blue in colour.

If you are interested, you may want to save some money as we envisage a unit cost of about $80. So please, watch this space! Eye-wink

Help with new bike selection

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hi

Am just returning to mountain biking and in the process of bike selection.

Have been away from the sport for 8 years. I used to ride a hard tail Klein with Marzocchi shocks which I loved but it got stolen. For various reasons I didn't buy another bike. However am now dead keen to get back into it and looking to buy a solid cross country dual suspension mainly for riding around Sydney Northern Beaches trails.

SOLD: Avid Juicy metal sintered pads 4 sale

I have 3 pack of genuine Avid metal sintered pads for sale
These fit all Juicy hydraulic brakes and BB7's
I bought these with my brakes but I could never stop them squeeling
So I now use organic pads

Price is $20 per set
I also have 2 pairs of barely used pads removed from my bike for anyone who takes all 3

Would prefer to deliver at a ride
But can send if you pay the cost (wouldn't be much)

Front Wheel, Spokes Hitting Brake Calipers

The spokes on my front wheel are rubbing against the brake caliper when I peddle under pressure, up hill, accelerating from a standing start etc, any suggestions as to why this would occur. I ride a 2008 Epic Compo.

Cheers

Upgrade Drive Train

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade my drivetrain components on my Cannondale F7 disc until I can purchase a good dual suspension.

I would love to go to LBS and say upgrade this however to budget constraints I was going to order from CRC.

I'm looking at purchasing:
Shimano XT Cassette 9 Speed M770
Shimano XT Rear Derailleur M751
Shimano HG93 Chain 9 Speed
Shimano XT Front Derailleur Conventional M771

This bike currently has FC-M311 cranks square taper. I was reading some Shimano docs and it seemed to state that these

Forks / Shocks

Hello

I have a Garry Fisher Hifi and have destroyed my forks / Shox so i am going to upgrade and was wondering what would be the best fork for me.

I do allot of XC (Manly Dam) and some DH (Thredbo), weigh around 96kg and ride fairly aggressive

I have been looking at the Foxshox F29 RLC 120mm, would these shox suite my riding or is there something better that you can suggest?

Cheers
Brent

Optibike

Some of you may be aware of these bikes but I thought id share anyway.
I was doing a job in Rose Bay today and the client had one of these. His was the OB1 model sporting talas 36's, rp23, chris king etc. Seems a little over specced with the 36's but would make an awesome commuter with some 2.8 slicks. He didnt offer me a ride though which is a shame cause the us 12k price is a little out of my budget. www.optibike.com

Carbon seatpost help

I've just bought a carbon seatpost for the hardtail. I'm wondering can I just drop it in and tighten up as normal, or do I need to use some sort of anti-slip paste? It's an alumimium frame.
