Specialized Carve Pro Frame Warranty Rejected
Hiya,
I have a 6 years old Specialized Carve Pro, which I took into me local bike shop (the same bike shop I purchased it from) to report a crack in the Frame Chain Stay. The bike was assessed by Specialized and I have been informed that my warranty claim has been rejected.
Cracked Scott Spark frame - not 1 but 2!
Just wondering if anyone has experienced any problems with the Scott Spark frames? I purchased a Spark 50 about 6 months ago and the rear triangle cracked completely through on the bottom stay close to the main frame. Had the rear triangle replaced and frame upgraded to a Spark 40. Have ridden the bike maybe half dozen times around manly Dam Terry Hills etc. Last weekend the frame cracked in exactly the same place on the rear triangle after about the same amount of riding as the first round.
Kudos to Trek and Bikeworx Erina
11:45am - Finish riding XC track at Ourimbah. Notice a little line near the join between seat and chain stays of my Trek Fuel. Head out to Bikeworx, just to make sure.
12:13pm - Take bike into shop and expect to be told that I'm a big girl. Instead, by chance, the Trek rep was there, has a look, takes pictures of my bike, uploads to his Laptop and sends an e-mail.
12:15pm - Trek rep says, "You'll have a new rear triangle tomorrow." Bikeworx tells me they'll fit it immediately when it comes in.
Scott Genius RC 20 Carbon Frame
For sale is a Scott Genius RC 20 Carbon dual-suspension frame and recently purchased carbon oversized seatpost. This frame is in great condition and has been well-maintained & serviced. The Scott RC 90mm rear shock has been recently serviced by the distributor and can be adjusted between full travel, traction control and lockout using a shifter on the handlebars.
This frame is very fast, very light and suited to XC riding. Size is small (51cm top tube) and suited to someone under 165cm.
Reason for selling is that it is too small for me (I'm 173cm)!

Stop cable rub
I've just bought a new bike - 2007 Kona Coilair, and i am wondering if there are any products out there which protect the frame from cable rub. I've seen these vinyl stickers, that get stuck on the frame, but they're pretty ugly. was also thinking about sticky chair feet protectors to wrap around the cable, which has sticky and fury side.
any thoughts would be appreciated.
cheers
