How difficult is Mt Annan?

Looking for an Easter Tuesday Family outing and was interested in heading to Mt. Annan Botanic Gardens. However, I'd like to know how easy the green route is? My 3 year old is a maniac on his BMX and is putting in some decent k's (10+ on bike paths) at the moment, not to mention spending every other second jumping off gutters and rolling down other people's terraced gardens so I wonder if he is up to the challenge?
Are there many/any tech sections?
Is it fairly smooth?
How are the hills?
etc.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Newbie at Ourimbah

When:
Tuesday, 26 April, 2011 - 11:00

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Ourimbah State Forest
Meeting Point:

Enter via Red Hill Rd, Ourimbah State Forest. On your right will be 'TreeTops' for the kids and it's large-ish carpark. Carry on past there and the first small clearing which is were parking used to be, and is where the 'Browns' single track turns (you might see riders on your left here). Please do not park in this car park.

Parking and official trail head is now designated a further 350m or so up the road where there is a larger area. There's a CCOMTB notice board here by the trail entrance (on the left as you drive up the hill). Park up nose to curb or as directed.

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

Sorry about the late notice, anyone keen for a couple of laps at Ourimbah? I've only been around the track once so if there is anyone who knows the area and is willing to take the time to show me around it would be greatly appreciated. Ride will be just a casual cruise. Anyone is welcome

Marramarra National Park update for 25 Apr

Status:
Amber/Some Issues

Although wet, Coba Ridge Trail is otherwise fine, as is Neverfail Fire Trail. The north branch firetrail is mostly fine as well, though the singletrack along Smugglers is overgrown, with many twigs and branches that go into one's eyes. Someone needs to trim them back!

Otherwise, all good.

Berowra, Sunday Morning

When:
Sunday, 1 May, 2011 - 08:00

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Berowra Heights
Meeting Point:

Corner of Gully and Berowra Waters Road.

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

Weather doesn't look like it will improve by Sunday, so I'll reschedule for a later Sunday!

Just a loop around Berowra Hts as was planned for Tuesday. It will probably still be wettish, but the track drains well and hence should be all right.

Electric MTB shifting

Based on the Di2 Shimano road gruppo. Say goodbye to crappy shifting on muddy races:

Illegal tracks

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Can someone explain to me how so many people get away with riding on very popular walking tracks at manly dam?

When walking the dog this morning on a nice bit of walking track near where the construction work took place last week about 3 or 4 people rode past me?

One of them was flying and yelling for me to get out of the way.

Also on the sandy bit there were lots and lots of tyre tracks.

As i like ranger mtb rider cooperation it annoys me that people jeoperdise the reputation of mtb riders by riding illegally....

Ourimbah Trail Condition?

Has anyone ridden Ourimbah today? I'm thinking about riding there tomorrow morning and am wondering how wet it is.
