Upgrades
Hi Guys,
Just wondering if i could get some advice on upgrading my bike to an more all mountain able machine. It is an GT avalanche 2.0 2010 ( http://www.gtbicycles.com/bikes/archive-1/2010/a... ) which i have already added an upgraded fork and wheel set to (Sr suntour epicon 140mm travel and an shimano mt65 wheel set)
i am thinking about putting a adjustable seat post on and also a new handlebar stem combination:
I am also wondering if these will fit the bike etc.....
These are the links and any help would be appreciated:

Little wet - but all good as at 22/4 - may be not quite so good after the rain today...

Great Northern Road update for 23 Apr
Couple of puddles, but the rest of the main track is otherwise fine.
I attempted "Spiders" descent, which was very overgrown, and I do not recommend it as the best way to descend from the ridge - it was 75% hike a bike. Try WCT or Shephard's Gully instead.

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Aumuna Road, in front of Terrey Hills Tavern Car Park.
Social Night Ride @ Terrey Hills, Duckholes & Centre Trail (drains better after the rain)
This ride starts at 7 PM to get us back before the Tavern's kitchen closes for last orders at 8:39 PM.
[Everyone welcome - suitable for newbies, too...social pace...we're riding mostly easy fire-trail]
Hope to see you there at 7 PM...
Rgds, Hans

Derailer
I have a SRAMX4 Derailer and chain has been changed twice now from wear.
Is it better to change to Shimano derailer and new shimano hg chain.
Is it worth changing over?I have read shimano chains are better than Sram.

[Mod. moved to MTB gear]

under 40-yay!
huge improvement on my last lap time....was really happy. Need to get stronger at the end of the fire trail and also need to fing a ggod gear to boom the climb up to manly vale school in. Did take a shortcut at the nineteenth hole....so lucky there was no otb!!!.the work on the southern cross road part of the track definately makes it quicker run to the end. Need to improve singetrack and techy climbing as well....to downhill oriented!!

Just an Introduction.
G'day guys just wanting to Introduce myself to this community. Im 24yo I Used to Ride heavily 6 years ago but when injury got the better of me I switched to water sports (kiteboarding/Wakeboarding). After a Knee reconstruction, i'm dead keen to get back in the saddle and just bought myself my new steed a few days ago. (2010 Trek Remedy 7). I'm Still recovering my strength but am very keen to get straight back into it, Im generally free weekdays so if anyone wants to take me for a tour id greatly appreciate it.
