Bantry Bay update for 27 Oct

Area:
Bantry Bay
Status:
Green/Open

Serrata, Gahnia, Daisy Duke, and the Mistress all good. Possums could use a day of sun to dry out with a few decent puddles. A few big puddles on the usual parts of the fire trails.

Do’s and don’ts with regard to mountain biking

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Another weekend of great riding around the NB but I have noticed some consistent practices that really give me the sh!ts. Interested in people's views on below.

1)Making A lines into B lines – if you can’t ride the A line, practice, don’t put rocks down or convert it into a permanent B line. Examples include 19th hole roll off and gap jump coming down the new section into the hydro lab at the dam.

Stuck Pedals

I cleverly didn't put enough grease on my pedal thread on my old bike and time has come for the pedals to be changed, and I've been informed that there is some spray or liquid or something that can be applied to help loosen them to take them off. Anyone able to think of what this is offhand?

Wildflower Garden update for 25 Oct

Status:
Green/Open

Rode the Linigen Pl track, nursery sniggle, horse track and muppets today. All pretty good. There's one root step-up on the nursery sniggle heading east that is going to start catching people out - it seems to be getting a bit higher each week. Top end near the showground still has some mud. Same with the top end of the horse track. Muppets is fine. Linigen Pl track has had the sewer leak mostly fixed so is now mostly dry.

Rode Perim from Nerang and Cowan only. The odd puddle here and there i the usual places. From Nerang to Schools its OK, just, but any more rain and it will revert to quagmire.
