Drainage across track

Here a drainage ditch has been built to send water directly across the track.

There was already an indentation forming where the ditch crosses the track and water will no doubt pool here quiet quickly.

Poor Steps

Very poorly planned log steps. Note the distance is exactly that of an MTBs wheelbase which makes riding them very annoying.

Kirkwood St Path

Extension of gravel-ish path behind bowling club to Kirkwood St. Note that this is not part of the actual track.

Cyclists Dismount

Note this sign states there's a road ahead even though one doesn't have to ride on the road (unlike this one). Not very consistent.

There is also a footpath on the other side of the road, and another 'walking only' trail further into the bush at this point, so it the authorities are worried about trail contention (or interaction between casual walkers and riders) they should encourage walkers to use one of these.

State the obvious

I'd say if you can't see there's a road ahead you shouldn't be riding a bike!

Incidentally, I only notice this sign the first time we rode round looking for changes. One is focussing on the road ahead otherwise and doesn't actually see the sign!

Rockshox Pike Issues

Having some issues with my rockshox pike 454 forks.

Just got back from the angry doctor - going down the downhill section at the 70k mark (after that enormous hill) I lost all travel in my fork.

All I get now is a loud clunk if I hit anything. There is no compression what so ever.

I am not into bike mechanicals at all - just love riding. Anybody got any ideas of what this could be ? Blown seAls ? Fork requires rebuild or fork is completely stuffed.

Will take it to LBS but just wanted a heads up before the guy at the store gives me alot of bad news.

not bike riding

took an unavoidable week off from snapping piccies and riding the bike
as the Bathurst Jog is only on once a year
and it's my bro's birthday month

so my recently active bike muscles went for an 8km 1hour stroll
and they damn well hurt like the billio still on Tues morning.
stupid jogging muscles
argh, not coping, need something, hnnnm rumm, stress pills, sleep, recovery time, a ride down Andersons

we'll start with rum and work our way up. Eye-wink
