Is anyone interested in doing Dirt Works, though didn't register in time? I have registered for the 100kms for Dirt Works and can't do it now. So if you are interested, give me a call on 0429 986 303, or email me at [email protected].

NPWS Rider Limits
I've just had an email from NPWS regarding rider limits on organised rides in National Parks.
The attached form one was asked to sign lists (amongst others) the following fees:
- Application Administration fee: $55.00 - Dependent upon application
- Application fee: Dependent upon application
- Per head fee: To be advised if applicable
- Security Deposit and other fees: To be advised if applicable
As you can see, signing such a form leaves anyone open to at least a $55 liability and probably more as these fees are TBA and no limit is mentioned on the form.
You will also note from the below that a three week notice is required which is probably unworkable.
From this I think there is little option but to limit all rides to 20 or less and I'll be turning that on now. Sorry, but this is bureaucracy run wild and have told NPWS as much.

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
The lay-by opposite the entrance to ANSTO on the New Illawarra Road.
*PLEASE NOTE THE MEETING LOCATION IS DIFFERENT TO WHERE WE USUALLY MEET*.
Looking to ride for approximately 3 hours on mainly the XC trails around Menai.
As usual will be a moderate pace, with some fast flowing single, XC type technical sections and some tricky climbs. A reasonable to good level of fitness will be needed to complete the 3 hours as the riding at Menai is fairly hard, but there will be a couple of bail out options for those finding it hard going.

We had the best team on the hill. Dylan (Ladytoast) was my support director and he did a flawless job. Including non-stop tech/nutrition & emotional support ....as well as some sponsorship. At one stage the only thing I owned was my helmet everything else belonged to Dylan, go the Yeti!

There's a car park (click for foggy picture) on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.
WSMTB XC Club Race - Round 3
Registration: 8am to 9am
Kids Racing: 9am to 9.30am
All other Racing: 9.30am (Starting with A Grade through to Novice with about 1min intervals between grades).
Cost: $10 each for 15 years and older. $5 each for 10 years to 14 years. Under 10's free. If you aren't a member of MTBA then a day licence will need to be purchased this will cost $15
