Fresh Hardcore
Fresh Hardcore, filling in were the track had been badly eroded. Should be nice and smooth, and further down the track new turf laid to replace a worn area where riders had been dodging a muddy bog.
Thredbo.
I can now officially say that the Thredbo DH course has a big tick beside it. Blackbettysdad and I ducked up their for a days riding yesterday.
Testing Track Maintance
This was pretty much the first rider to hit the new berm leading into Cootamundra Reserve . We were quite glad that he not only instinctively knew to change direction onto the old board walk, but also that he jumped our newly installed stone work. Nice.
Boardwalk Maintance
New Berm on the way into Cootamundra Reserve, almost finished. Can't really see the camber from here but it should really speed up this corner.
Sunny Track Maintenance
Pretty much everyone had a go a shovelling, only the hard core lasted
(sorry, terrible joke).
Manly Dam & Bantry Bay Night Ride (Wed 9th April) "CANCELLED"
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
King Street (near corner with Arana Street), Manly Vale. You know - outside Manly Hydraulics Lab.
CANCELLED. The track would be to wet regardless if it clears up this afternoon.
This ride is not really for the beginner as Banty Bay is technical enough in daylight let alone night.
Good lights and burn time required also.
I probably have 1:45 burn time so may have to hug the Ay-Up equipped riders for the final leg home. (Oh The Love)
FINALLY: All to bring a beer or two for a social chat after the ride. (Compulsory)
New Caledonia Mountainbiker on a road bike ??
Hi guys,
I'm generally just a mountainbiker using the road racing as training.
But recently I have been asked to represent NSW (institute sport) in
going to New Caledonia for a 6 Day Road Tour.
Just wondering any of you guys got any tips for a roady?
Or any comments?
