Well after a paticulary fun single track training ride last Friday night I got home and had decided to order the bike I'd been considering for the last couple of months, I started strong saying I have 4 bikes that's really enough, but as Gaz will agree, it can be hard to resist with the bike just slowly wearing you down, nagging to be brought, Anyhow it was starting to get like my unhealthy attraction for Dido (Definitely no L) so ordered it right then. Hope I like a 29er hardtail. Keen to here thoughts on 29ers.

TFI Friday!

Rob seems to have scored a day off tomorrow. If the weather is anything like today will go pootle round the Dam in the arvo.

Anyone equally lucky with an early weekend that feels like keeping me company?

Cheers! Laughing out loud

Terrey Hills Newbie ride #3

When:
Sunday, 16 March, 2008 - 09:00

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Terrey Hills / Duffys Forest
Meeting Point:

Terrey Hills shops (carpark where we met last time).

Thought it might be a good idea to organise another lap of Terrey Hills for our Newbies. Of course, everyone is welcome. Would be great to have some of the more experienced riders around, too.
Hope to see on Sunday!

Interested in a ride on Sunday

I rode with a few of you a couple of weeks ago and would love to meet more bikers. I am new to Australia and would love to ride somewhere this Sunday. I could meet somewhere around Manly Dam if anyone is interested in that ride. I would love to check out other areas but I do not have a car yet, so I would need a ride. Feel free to contact me directly or let me know if there are other areas that are within biking distance of Manly. Thanks, Maria

Awaba WWS?

Hey, anyone want to do the Awaba WWS race in June? June 22 to be precise.

The Awaba course is new and shiny so wouldn't mind a look. Solo or pairs == taking it easy, but a threesome is much more fun, anyone game?

Dear lord, wait 'til Stuart reads that! Please, no smutty remarks unless you want to come to the event! Sticking out tongue

Update: Now in the calendar: http://nobmob.com/node/5140

Okay,

At the end of the last ride I realised that my cardio needed some more work on the ol' hill climbing. So an insane idea has arisen. Basically just ride the main firetrail running through the park and if a hill comes along ride up, then down, then up it again and then move on the next section of the firetrail.

There are a good collection of hills in LCNP some are concreted cause they are so steep some are a nice firetrail up and some are a very loose firetrail up. I reckon there is less sand on this track than Cascades and hence it might be more loving towards your drivetrain.

Sram jockey wheels

Does anyone know of longer lasting jockey wheels for the sram deraileurs, I've gone through three sets in 1200km, not the most expensive things in the world but I'm getting tired of having to change them so often.
