Expensive day out
After just 25 mins of riding through mud and sand in a downpour yesterday. To be fair, the jockey wheels (pulleys) were gone anyhow, but it was the brakes and rest of the drive train that took a real pounding.
See one of these sets of pads is still all bright and shiny - they were around two weeks old. Both ends were down to the last 10th mm or something.

Ok, so the guy I "sold" it to apparently has a very special bike. It's such a special bike that it won't accept any derailleurs with standard mounting brackets, so special in fact when he needs to replace it he has to go and buy a special bike specific one from that special bike company, got you by the short curlys there mate haven't they 
This means that my mistake coupled with his special luck is now your good luck, and I've even dropped the price.
