Pocket Rocket

Mitchell and I went to the 12hr yesterday, fearing the the rain was going to be as horrible as last year, but despite some light rain in the morning the day cleared up and the slippery track soon became tacky, Mitchell was in a team of four and they won the schools category with 18 10.5km laps. The racing was close with 9 teams in their category, fortunately slick transitions, consistant quick laps and no mechanicals got them to the line 1st.

Dirty Drivetrain

On today's ride Superman (aka. Greg) broke his chain pumping up an impossible incline. Someone in the group hadn't done any chain repairs on the trail yet so was keen to learn.

Here's the resulting effort... job done, or did the tutor forget to mention one small detail?

Centre/ Duck/ Perimieter/ Long?

When:
Saturday, 8 September, 2007 - 13:00

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Terrey Hills / Duffys Forest

Hanging out for a ride today, but it's just a bit damp everywhere.

So, old faithful wet ride option has come up. Leave 1pm from Terrey Hills shops. We'll ride Centre/Duck/Waratah maybe loop or Perimeter (prolly from School) and Long.

These trails survive the rain the best, so will be there no matter what.

Completely OT but - The baby sale begins...

No I'm not selling babies...

But if anyone can find a good home for a set of wheels of steel = Stanton STR8-60 DJ Turntables, about five years old I think, in average cosmetic nick from doing a few parties etc but mechanically sound. I'm not putting them on EBAY as I'm more interested in them finding a good home so if anyone wants to offer me a modest sum then PM me please. Must be a few budding Ali-G's or out there?

Happy to demo them for anyone interested.

Ta,
Matt.

(PS - At least they have wheels so almost OT...)
