Mt York

Below is a preview, click to read the full post
When:
Saturday, 20 October, 2007 - 11:30

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Meeting Point:

Imperial park Mt Victoria

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

OK this is a CTMBC ride but open to everyone (you'll need to sign the disclaimer but there are no entry fees). It is part of the Celebrations of the 175 anniversary of the opening of Victoria Pass.

There will be plenty of things to do and see besides the ride, including Historical re-enactments at both Mt Victoria and Heartly Historic village so use it as an excuse to bring to family/better half up to the mountains for a bit of culture (the duck off for a ride while they are not looking).

Kona Dawg FOUND~~~~

Great news let me guess, you went to the nobmob website and freaked out when you viewed Kona Dawg stolern and dumped it at Terry Hills school. Well if you did smart move.

Dawg was found yesterday dumped at the school all in one piece.

A good news story

multi pic of some jump-ish action at Majura

Majura is so worth the trip to Canberra! lots to explore and again like Stromlo incredibly well maintained and constructed- we would have stayed all day but for weather and legs!

more of the good stuff at Majura

So nice to ride through pine forests on trails of this quality! turn a corner and there's jumps, berms, drops, bridges and dips with near vert exits Smiling

View from the Top

more from the top- a very nice xc course runs along the entrance to the DH (off to the left)- all in all the dh was an incredibly diverse, interesting trail with flowy sections, jumps, drops, huge sweeping berms Smiling, techy stuff and s^%$ your pants stuff!- unforgiving on some lines, and not far from it on the others- highly recommend, youll learn alot riding this trail!

Where the xc Meets the DH

view from the top- rugged, bare and ideal for some no tree downhill action Smiling

Ah Sweet Warning Signs ;)

the marker at the top of the dh- something we dont see too much of round these parts-! all we needed were chairlifts!
