Old Man Valley stage II
Apologies if this has been covered off.
Has the second stage of OMV been started yet? I haven't been there for a few months and don't want to drive that far until the new section is in.
Cheers

RNP condition
Has anyone ridden out of Loftus oval recently?
I'm wanting to do a night ride there Thursday but not sure how the place holds up after the recent weather.

SRAM Singletrack Mind Series Round 2
The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.
Coondoo Road, Nowra
The SRAM Singletrack Mind Series features five mountain bike endurance events, of 7 or 8 hours duration. They will take you to five different locations in NSW, each one renowned for its flowing singletrack and fun factor.
The fast and flowy Coondoo Road trails in Nowra will be home to this round, hosted by the South Coast Mountainbikers. This venue has been on the Series calendar every year because everyone loves it!
This is the rescheduled date for Round 2 which was originally to be on 26 May, however the Weather Gods had other plans!

Awaba State Forest update for 29 May
Went for a quick night ride last night. (Tues night). I only rode the blue lap.
The track is damp in general with not many puddles at all. Quite good really. Just beware of a few slippery clay sections. Especially on the 'downhill' section about 3km (?) in.
On a side note - my build is finished! It's really hard to compare a 26" Anthem to a 29er rigid!

Reporting cycle infrastructure problems
Do any of you remember Omar Khalifa from Bicycle NSW? The period he spent in charge was one of the most active, high impact and effective periods in the history of BNSW advocacy, and he was very popular with members.
He ended up resigning after the board used proxies to defeat his plans to reform the organisation to make it more accountable to members.
The good news is he has been far from idle. From bicycles.net.au:
Go! Fix... coming (very) soon

Waterproof flouro jackets
Gotta buy myself some gear for the daily commute and wanted to get something waterproof and reflective for these early nights.
Anyone got any recommendations?
Cheers

365 Days of Reign - My first year on a serious mountain bike
Last Friday was the anniversary of my first serious mountain bike purchase. It was the day when my dual suspension Big W bike got locked in the shed for good and I embarked on a whole new world of mountain biking .. one with 6" of suspension travel, powerful brakes and grippy tyres.
This video tries to capture the wide variety of trails I've ridden over the past 12 months and the experiences I've enjoyed. It's also a big thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey, especially everyone on this forum that has given me advice, tips and directions.
