Bear Right

Not on the map is the trail you see on the left here. No wonder, it's a dead end after 200m or so, so bear right for the end of Ryland.

To Sandy

Here's the turn off (North/right) that leads to the Terrey Hills Sandy Trail. Bear left/East to keep on going to the end of Ryland.

Under the Wire

Looking back toward the main trail. Nasty loose stuff to climb up, but it's not steep so easy as... not quiet as much fun as coming down though.

Second Left

Coming from the East, this is the second left path - nothing much down here though.

Management Junction

There's a gate here at the back of St Ives Oval. Drop onto the management track here. Around 100m through the gate a junction right turn can be used to head on over to Ryland, or bear left to head on round the rest of Wildflower.

Management Track

Pretty much flat, but there's a couple of short climbs to warm up on.

Pallet Bridge

Don't suppose this pallet bridge was really needed (there's a path over this gap to the right) but someone found it fun to put down here anyhow.

Park Entrance

A none too inviting entrance by Mona Vale Road, but note the National Park sign, so in you go. There's quiet a large area by the road to park too, which is pretty handy.

Sign on the gate in the distance tells the name here as Cooyong/Neverfail Trail.

Huge Oaks Turnout

Group

Wow! Would you believe so many people willing to get up at 5am on a Sunday morning?

Big, thanks to Stuart for the organisation of yesterday's ride and sticking to the apparently crazy start time. As it turned out that was just about perfect. A few drops of rain felt as we drove away from Glenbrook at the end of the ride and home in time for lunch - nice Smiling

Hope everyone had fun, certainly seemed that way.

See you again, out on the trails!

what not to do on a hot day

Pressure suit, shin/knee guards, gloves, camelbak and first aid kit + GPS on belt.

Yes I'm paranoid I'll get hurt again.
