Mount Bushwalker East

The East end of Mount Bushwalker Track. The signs say no pets, no horses, no motorcycles. Lucky we're on a mountain bike, huh? Eye-wink

Didn't go down here on this day, but read later that there are some boardwalk sections and the view from the other end is astounding. Doh!

Tianjara South

Very nice it is too.

Chasm!

As you can see, the only thing bridging this rather deep chasm is a rock bridge. It looks unsuspecting enough on approach (see here) but as you can see from this angle, one false move on it's crossing would not be very pretty!

Rock Bridge

This fairly typical looking step down then up is anything but... don't ride it! (see here).

View Over Claydons Creek

Looking South West-ish from Tianjara Fire Trail. From the topo map I think this is the valley cut by Claydons Creek.

Wildflower Trail

Plenty of Wildflowers were out on this visit (beginning of October).

Tianjara Corner

Coming up to this corner we get glimpses of the Shoalhaven Gorge to the West. Apparently the view that way from the end of Mount Bushwalker Track are superb.

Kangaroo Hill/Twelve Mile junction

If you came from the East it was along Twelve Mile Road and up a steep climb. This is where Twelve Mile meets a trail of dubious name. As although this is signposted as the North end of Tianjara Fire Trail, it's marked on the topo map as 'Kangaroo Hill Link Trail' which runs for the next 1500m or so, at which point I guess it meets Tianjara proper (just by a hill - Kangaroo Hill would you believe).

View From Boyd Lookout

This Boyd bloke sure does get about a bit!

Early Sunday Alternative

It's getting lighter and warmer so I think the early Sunday alternative is about to make a comeback.

Sunday,
7.00am meet, ride by 7.15
Morgan Rd
Should be an easy out, Moon Rock and back up for one or two laps of XC with a little playing along the way. All will depend on how Bernd's back holds up.
