Single speed conversion Advice
I thought I would have a crack at converting my old 2002 Giant Yukon to single speed.
It has just dawned on me that I may have to get a new crank set.
Ive never pulled it apart and I dont even know what the Bottom Bracket looks like.
I found the Archive specs for the 2002 Yukon.
The Crank is a Shimano Acera, after doing some research I think my bottom Bracket is a JIS square taper 68mm.
Can I do a single speed conversion with this?

2 trees down across track 1 before hidden bridge other on downhill bit along power lines south end 100mtrs before creek crossing up to trotting track.

Use the Trail head sign as the start and finish for an accurate landmark if not in a race.
In the first half of the Green loop the 2 balance logs are allowed, this is the "A" Line.

Glenbrook Park. In the small car park opposite the shops.
Glenbrook to the Oaks(the middle gate) via Euroka Clearing and Bennetts Ridge firetrail, return on the Oaks single track.

Sub 20 Ando's up
Not a bad effort considering I had almost 70km on my legs by then.
I thought I would struggle just to clear it in one hit but felt ok - never really pushed hard, just stayed consistent.
The Oaks update for 30 Dec
Rode down the track today, Friday the 30 of December; all is well with the exception of the pile of sticks
in the puddle as referred by Hathill on the single track near the Bennets Ridge turn off. A sharp right hand
turn will get you out of trouble with this one. Teejay.

Winmalee update for 30 Dec
Muddy bogs in the usual spots. One of them now has a massive branch across it so walkers/riders have made a trail about a metre further into the bush to get around it. NO GOOD!
