The Oaks update for 05 Feb
All good. Just a couple of muddy patches on the firetrail and the single track. Causeway path has about 200mm of water over it.
Do you have more information?

Norco Clunker
Picked up this old Norco clunker from a heap of kerbside trash near home. All set, although it wil prob need a new chain (is this ok or will i be in breach of the regs?)
Chain Lube
The question has probably been discussed before but what are peoples preference to chain lube.
Wet?
Dry?
I currently use a dry lube, smax wax which seems to work ok until the chain gets wet. I find that I'm cleaning and re applying lube after every ride. Every few rides I give the entire drive train a clean.
On the road bike I used a wet lube, whilst this attracks grit and grime it seems to leave the chain running smoothly.
Component cleaning
What is the best chemicals/cleaning products to use when cleaning the dirty black grit out of components?

I hear that Blue Mountains NAtional Park has contracted an outside company to do some trail maintenance in Glenbrook, does anyone have more information on this?
Last Ride Teaser
On December 15 2010, a group of friends set out for a day's mountain bike ride. 4 days later, a search and rescue team retrieved a helmet mounted video camera. Last Ride is the complete unedited 79 minute footage of their ordeal.
