Knapsack spin

Glenbrook Oval, Hare St, Glenbrook NSW. Near the skate park. Ride down Moore Street to the start of trail that leads into the main park around the gate.
We ask visitors to please park here to not affect the residents. Plenty of parking plus amenities.
Meet at knapsack trail head if you wish to join me.
Touring
Hi gang.
I've never been touring / bike camping before but ive been thinking about grabbing some panniers for the bike and heading off for a night or two. Just locally in the mountains region to start with some overnighters to get gear figured out etc and building up from there I guess.
Most of the rides I've got in my head will be predominantly Tarmac and gravel roads.
So basically I'm here asking for ideas, tips, recommended rides and to hopefully enlist some other keen cyclo campers.
Here's what I've got in my mind...
Ride 1:

Blue STP for my daughter from bits and pieces.
I finished assembling this last night from parts I had lying around, scabbed off ride buddies, bought off rotorburn and a few little ebay items. Its my daughter's new mtb and rather than spend the same amount of money (around $500 including the respray) on something new that is crappy and heavy , I got some better quality 2nd hand parts and put it together.
Frame is a small size STP resprayed at Gripsport beautifully.

WSMTB XC Round 7

There's a car park (click for foggy picture) on Springwood Road - just down the way from Hawkesbury Heights if you're looking for a suburb name.
The 7th round of the WSMTB XC series will be held at Yellomundee Regional Park on Sunday 9 September. U10s from 8.30am, U13s from 9am. Rego from 8am to 8.50am. Main race at 9.30am. See www.wsmtb.com for details.
All welcome. No need to have raced in the series before. The track at Yellomundee was just great for our previous Round on 26 August, so come out and enjoy a friendly Spring race.

The Oaks update for 29 Aug
Tree still down just west of the Oaks gate. Single track is open but there are still some obstructions that haven't been cleared. One blocks the track but has a new path growing around the left side. Reasonable line of sight before getting to it to allow you to slow down.
Do you have more information?

Wednesday social

Glenbrook station carpark. Opposite shops.
Usual social ride, into Euroka, up Bennetts and down the single track, except for those wacky tandem riders, who take the easier option down he fire trail.
The Oaks update for 25 Aug
Large tree down right across the firetrail about 1 km west of The Oaks gate. 2 trees down across the single track blocking it. A few branches down on the single track partially blocking it, some have broken end extending into the single track at the right height to cut legs.
