Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 31 May

Conditions very good ATM

Please note -

The East Coast Mountain Trails guys have started work on Kennys Trail today. They are working on the section from the Scenic Drv powerline easement through to Bailey's Paddock. This section is completely closed and there's a detour in place - probably for up to three weeks. Please respect the closure, the trail won't be any good to ride and we'll get a better result if the guys are just left to do their magic.

Also Dirt Art are working on Seismick and it is still closed as well.

Please See GTA FB for more info and discussion

Conditions all really good ATM

Please Note - The Dirt Art guys have started work on Seismick now so the trial will be closed for about 2 weeks. Please remember that even if it looks like the work is finished they may still be shaping and packing so the trail is very vulnerable to damage. If we stay off til they're completely finished we'll get a much better result.

Latest from the NPWS -

The status of the mountain bike trail network in Glenrock has changed from a partial closure to a safety alert:

Mountain bike riders are advised the single-track network has been impacted by recent rain and flood activity.
The network is dry weather only. Some tracks remain wet in sections.
Riders are advised to take caution and to avoid sections that are wet to allow tracks to dry out and prevent further track damage.

Glenrock State Conservation Area update for 24 Mar

Great to see the sun out this morning - I know it will be obvious to people that take the time to read this - but it's not dry enough to ride yet.
It will take many days if not a week for the trails to totally dry out to the point where riding won't cause damage.
For people busting to get out - the gravel and fire-roads are good, they get maintained by a bulldozer.
If you do go for a look at the trails it won't hurt to drain any puddles and speed the process up.
Thanks everybody for being so patient.
